We are booked in the Cheyenne which doesn’t have a pool, I was going to get a day pass for villages natura but it is so expensive so the kids could have a swim as a change one evening or late afternoon. I’ve looked into booking one nights accommodation at the explorers just for the swim even though we may not stay the night, this would be 121 for 6 off us . Villages natura would be 270 euros for the day. The other option was to maybe stay overnight near the shopping centre. We will be relying on the transfer buses or the train, if anybody could recommend a hotel with an indoor pool (we go 4th March) please.

If a swimming pool is really important to you, could you price up upgrading to one of the other onsite hotels with a pool?

I personally couldn't justify over 100euros just to go swimming! Even when we've stayed in on-site hotels with pools we very rarely find time to go for a swim.

Have you been to DLP before? How many nights are you going for? We very rarely have had time to got swimming. The pools in france are much cooler which is something to take into consideration- we have always been chilly even in summer.

If you are driving I would recommend Davy Crockett Ranch as it is generally a similar price to Cheyenne and has a pool, but you have to drive.

I agree with the above regarding upgrading to a hotel with pool if it’s something you are really keen to do.

I don’t think I could justify spending all that money to go swimming especially when we have a lovely swimming pool close to where we live so can visit there any time.

We’ve booked DCR as we liked the resort and added bonus that there’s the pool if we fancy it but I probably would have booked the resort regardless.

in March I've never had time to go swimming at DLP - the indoor pools are not very warm either. Honestly I wouldn't pay all that money to go swimming at DLP, and I wouldn't sacrifice park time in March to do so either (the parks are not open late in March).

Thankyou for your replies, I know it’s a lot off money to go swimming, just thought, it’s about 20 pound each and we could go to the shopping centre which I’ve never been to before. we are there 4 nights, it will be our 3rd visit, the first time we stayed at explorers the second Sequilla, they had a swim there, I decided to go for the Cheyenne this time as buffet meals appeal more with fussy kids.
I am going with my 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren the 2 girls will love the princess breakfast, meeting the characters etc but my 10 year old grandson isn’t overly bothered about characters anymore ( we went to Florida last year) Although he will enjoy the rides and sneakily probably seeing the characters. It was more for him really he loves swimming and as the parks close at 7 thought it would be nice to do in the evening as it’s too early for his bedtime. I’m sure you are all right and save my money to buy a Xmas decoration for my tree!

You don’t have to stay at the Cheyenne to have the buffet meals? You could have a look into buffalo bills for one evening? If you schedule your evening meals for after 7 you’ll get more park time and be done for bedtime 😊

When we were there in November we scheduled all the meals for around 7.30pm after the parks shut - it would then be almost 9pm before we got back to the room and honestly after being on our feet for almost 12 hours there wasn't really anything we wanted me than our beds!

The only time we've ever managed to fit a swim in is when the parks are open until 10/11pm and we'd have a swim mid-afternoon as a little break.

Anyway, we tend to book somewhere like explorers for the "night before we start DLP", we tend to swim as entertainment for that evening then get up early, check out, get to our DLP hotel and get in the park early, that way we arent wasting DLP time. Obviously this depends on what time we are arriving in the area and what hotels we will be using.
