FOP with a temperamental back!

I've had a couple issues with my back before, although its been a couple of years since a bad flare up.

I've just been reading up on FOP and I'm now a little worried after reading some bits about the back rest "squashing you down"

The problem with my back is my lower back. Has anyone had any issues with their back on FOP?

I’ve had some lower back issues in the past- nothing serious but enough to make me cautious. I personally didn’t find fop a problem at all- the restraint was quite comfortable from what I recall and I simply there to hold you in place, rather than push you in place iyswim

I don’t remember feeling pushed at all. I can’t remember much other than feeling motion sickness-certainly no issues for any of our party.

I suffer with sciatica from time to time so lower bag/left leg issues, but honestly it’s not uncomfortable, and it doesn’t really squash you into place, you sit at an angle - like on a bike and it locks you in, once locked in you relax a little so makes it more comfortable!

A great exaggeration in my opinion.

I suffer a lot with lower back pain and had no issues with fop. Everest though I find really uncomfortable, must be the shape of the seats I think.

The only other ride I have trouble with is the flume ride at universal, the shape of the seats make it nearly impossible for me to get out without putting strain on my back.

It does all depend on your size and shape, i'm 6ft7 and the seats are snug but not uncomfortable, i have had and still get lower back issues but i would say the seats offer more support to that area, if you are unsure there is a trial seat at the entrance before you start to queue up where a CM puts the back into a green band on the seat this is where the back needs to be for the ride to start once you are on. These videos will explain it.
