Fireworks desert party
I'm thinking of booking this but think it works out about £240 for the sit down one for 4 of us.
Is it worth doing? I'm a bit put off by it being just deserts. I have a sweet tooth but it seems a bit much and the kids will be hyper afterwards. Is the drink for adults just cider? Is it easy enough to see the fireworks otherwise or would we be missing out if we left this off? |

They have added a couple of savoury items, think it was egg rolls and spinach dip. And there's always been things like cheese and crackers. Still no alcohol at the MK one, even though they do now allow alcohol at TS, it still seems to be restricted at buffet venues.
When are you going? If it's predicted to be a busy MK day and you're not prepared/able to wait around an hour holding a spot, it may be worth it. But otherwise it's relatively easy to claim a spot if you're patient enough. |

We'll be there 20th Aug 19 to 1 Sep. It's out 1st time so I didn't want to come back thinking we had missed out. There is also a risk the fireworks may not happen depending on weather etc. and if so no refunds Does this happen often?

Not often, they just have to state that due to legal reasons. They might delay them if there's storms (particularly high winds) in the immediate area but generally they will go ahead once it's safe to do so.
End of August is typically much quieter than earlier in the summer, as US schools start going back around the middle of the month. I wouldn't be that worried about getting a spot. You have to check in to the dessert party at least an hour (think it's 75 minutes) before the show anyway, so you could just use that time to grab something from a QS and claim a spot in the hub while you eat. |

I was also thinking about booking this for next year. Does anyone know how quickly they get booked up? Is it the kind of thing you could do when you are there or do you have to book way in advance?

We went Augut 15th lat year and it was worth every penny. Beforehand I was sceptical and nearly cancelled a couple of times.
We're not the most patient of families and throught of waiting around staking out a spot filled me with absolute dread. The crowds were huge when we were there and everyone was packed in like sardines. The food was better than what I was expecting as I'd read bad reviews. We had a plate of savoury first (cheeseburger spring rolls were yummy) followed with plenty of sweet stuff. For us it was a great evening and we will definitely so it again x |

We’ve been a few times and have enjoyed both the space and eating our own weight in chocolate strawberries!
I’ve booked again for the sit down/Tomorrowland terrace party, but read somewhere recently that they no longer have reserved tables. Does anyone know if this is right? I liked them being reserved as you weren’t worrying about having to be there first. Especially as a party of 7 - not sure there’s many tables large enough to accommodate us 😏
