ADR like Fast passes?

Hi all. When it comes to 60 days or for onsite guest fast passes there is an urgency to get them booked as soon as your 60 days hit.

Is this the same for ADRs?

We plan to travel in Aug 2020 and this will be our first time we have chosen to stay on site with the DDP (hopefully).

Do I be ready immediately for when my 180 days out.

Yes- For certain popular restaurants if you want to get a day and time of your choice. For others it’s not as urgent.
The popular ones include BOG (breakfast), California Grill and Cinderella’s Royal Table. I’m sure others will add to this list but that’s all I can thing straight off.

It depends on your party size as well. We are a group of 7 the toughest 2 where Storybook dining and Bon Voyage breakfast. Smaller groups will be easier. BOG 8 am breakfasts go fast too. We even struggled with Garden grill near the end of the trip.
I think a lot will book asap at 180 days, however much closer to the time availability can get better as people cancel last minute. 30 days out at 1-2 days out its surprising what you can find if you keep checking.

OP. Some very good advice already given. For our party of 2 there is no rush at all.

So much so I just checked and realised we can book our ADR's today and I haven't even done a list yet!

I better get a move on as the Granddaughter is coming with us so it's a party of 3.

I was pleasantly surprised when I booked ours on Friday for a party of 3 - every restaurant on the exact day and time we wanted 👌

Yes, get planning and be ready for the 180 day. I you are on site, you get 180 +10 days if my memory serves me well - unless they have changed it in the last couple of years as not been since 2016.
