I’ve booked the premier inn, believe it’s a short walk, you also get reduced rate parking at one of the carparks nearby

Stayed in the premier inn and both Holiday Inns, prefer the Express but only because of the free breakfast. My DD eats like a horse at breakfast so it saves us a fortune.
Wouldn’t stay at the Normandy ever again. I’d rather sleep in my car!

You might be lucky I can’t remember what time it started it but think it was early.
Just checked, it starts at 6 😞 Edited at 02:19 PM. |

Ah that’s a shame. Last month we didn’t eat until we were on the first flight anyway. My kids had a lot of fun eating cereal straight from the box on the plane .
I’m going back and forth between the Holiday Inn Express and the Courtyard. I have definitely convinced myself that it’s worth staying over though rather than a 90 minute drive at that time. |

Hot breakfast starts at 6 but continental breakfast I’m sure was starting earlier , maybe 4-5am when we stayed .

The Normandy is decent, and very reasonable prices considering you get 15 days of parking included too.
A shuttle bus takes you to/from the airport and is literally 5 minutes. They have limited family rooms available however. |

We stayed at the premier inn in 2014, breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel, which may or may not be linked to the fact that it was the first time we'd stayed overnight before the flight. We are 40 mins from Manchester, and up until then drove on the day. We now always look at the premier inns the night before a flight. It's much nicer to not be up at the crack of dawn. Buffet breakfast at about a tenner each, with kids eating free is much better quality than overpriced airport food where the kids have to pay as well. It significantly offsets the cost of the room.
