Disney welcomes new baby Giraffe onto the Savanna

On 28 Aug, 2018, Aella, a 2 month old Masai giraffe calf, walked out onto the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the first time.

Accompanied by her mother, Lily, the calf is approximately six feet tall and is viewable by guests aboard Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one of four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Named after an Amazon warrior, Aella is known to be a brave and bold young giraffe with a curious and independent spirit. She’s adventurous enough to explore on her own, sometimes leaving mom a few paces behind.

Born on June 29, Aella was more than five-feet-tall at birth. Up until now, she has been spending precious moments bonding and nursing with her mom Lily in a backstage habitat.

Yes we seen the baby yesterday. And she is a very curious giraffe.
She was checking everything out yesterday morning when we did the safari!
Beautiful to watch.
All the animals were out yesterday to view with it being cool and overcast.
I must add all the animals look in fantastic condition.
