Mobile Photo storage help

Hi,

I’m thinking about giving my sister my iMac. It has over 15,000 pics on it. We only use our iPads or iPhones now. Is there a way, without using online storage, to store the photos and then be able to look at them on our iPads. Looking at wireless external hard drive but not sure how it would work.

Thanks.

Yes you can buy a NAS drive, this is basically a networl enabled hard drive which. Alterntively you can get some wireless devices which accept memory cards.

This site has some good ones at a decent price, just check compatability with Apple devices : wd/en-gb/products/wd-recertified.html

A couple of examples

Actually that’s not strictly true. In the SeagateMedia app I can see the photos I have in the public folder, But I don’t keep my photos in the public folder.

A couple large SD cards and the camera connection kit? It will read them off the card, I think you have to import the ones you want to look at though.
Besides that I’m not sure (I still have a laptop)

I have these - the first one I’ve used to back up the pics from my phone and the second I used for the laptop. Think I got them in Costco. 15000 photos you sister will love looking through those

Thanks. Have ordered a couple to try out.
Luckily there’s no photo mishaps on there 😉
