I'm not 100% certain where the 192 is in relation to these places but I'm assuming you'll have a car?

If so, the following are worth popping to (and making a bit of a trip if you need to do so);

Teak Neighborhood Grill - INCREDIBLE burgers!

Sweet Tomatoes - we do at least twice as fresh salady stuff so welcome

The Knife - all you can eat meat and salad - LOADS of choices of meat

Bahama Breeze - for something different - love their pineapple choices - upsidedown cake and chicken curry!

Cracker Barrell - for a proper taste of America

Millers Alehouse - can't really go wrong, great value and sport on TVs

Fork & Screen - worth it for the fun of watching a film with 'table service'

New spots we will try next time after reading about them here;

Perkins
Mrs Potato
Hash House a go go
Colorado Fondue Company (at Altemonte Springs when we visit the $1.75pp cinema there!)

Thanks for the all suggestions so far. After last time I'm really hoping to widen our options.

Really liking exploring the area on Streetview and Google Maps.
Just found a Tijuana Flats next to Red Robin as well, which is a new one to me.

We went to Cracker Barrel once down at Socrum Loop on the way to Tampa on July 4th 2015 and I embarrassed everyone when my breakfast arrived on 5 plates! It's on my list to go back to.
I think we went to Perkins at the intersection of I-Drive and Sand Lake road and it whatever we had, it didn't really leave much of a lasting impression though it was nice enough.

It's looking like the location we're staying at is perfect - I'm finding lots of little places around too, like Burger Craft and Menchies Frozen Yoghurt.

I've heard about Bahama Breeze and it's on my list to try. What about Panera Bread, anyone know anything about that?

Panera bread is the place we go to when we face a big meal, they do soups and rolls, sandwiches and lovely cakes. No booze served, but it’s worth a visit. Best to check out the menus of any places you fancy.
Opposite Old Town, we found a Chinese buffet, which was very good. Hokkaido.

Our faves when offsite are:-

Buffalo Wild Wings
Outback steak house
Hooters
Denny’s
Cheesecake Factory (not on the 192)
Wendy’s
Bahama breeze
Hash house a go go (not 192)
Millers

We also love popping to publix for cooked chicken and sitting round the pool with the chicken and some salad & fresh bread. We generally don’t use the kitchen in the villa other than the toaster & kettle 😂😂 Publix subs are amazing aswell!

We stayed at Windsor Hills over Christmas and went to the 192 west a lot to eat. The Rolling Oaks area on the 192 has Longhorns which was delicious, Sweet Tomatoes which is really good value and makes a nice change, as well as Olive Garden, Panera Bread and Bahama Breeze. Across the road is Millers Ale House and Applebees.

The Publix is also a great option to go and pick up chicken, salad and bread for an easy tea at your accommodation. The sub rolls are also very nice.

We are normally just a couple and for all our regular places near Rolling Oaks (Longhorn, Texas, Carrabba's. Bonefish etc) we rarely wait more than 10 minutes. We always ask for a booth though.

Strangely the wait at Texas is usually longer than Longhorn.

It depends.

We go round Easter and the answer then is "bloomin' busy" - eating early is the key then. Easter weekend we went to eat around 6.30pm, places (Outback, Olive Garden, TGI ) were reasonably busy, but no long waits, around 7.45 lines were long and as we left we heard 30-45 min wait being said.
