I wonder if they might have a ticketed option up to say 10am or possibly try and limit entrance to the land somehow if the crowd is too big (fastpass holders only perhaps).

I can see them moving to three tiers. Current as they are, Mickey ride joining tier 1 when it opens. Then separate paid FPs for SW. They're currently offering paid FPs to the SW attractions at DLP, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a test model to see if they can do that for SWGE once it opens in both parks.

If I had heard your theory years ago I would have sworn there was no way WDW would stoop so low...

Today, I fear its only a matter of time. Paid FPs are inevitably coming in one form or another. Upgraded access, ability to pre-book more of them, exclusive access, etc...these don't seem too far off anymore.

With the way Disney is actively monetizing virtually everything associated with the parks today, paid (or up-charged) FPs seem like a logical extension. Fastpasses to anything Star Wars will be worth their weight in gold, and I cannot imagine Disney-the-corporate-entity will be simply "giving them away" to regular ticket holders for too long.

Demand will far outweigh supply for years to come at Galaxy's Edge. Best way for Disney to capitalize will be increasing costs until demand begins to waver. Tweaking FPs would be an easy way to do that while still fostering a sense of alternative option. "You don't have to pay extra for a Star Wars FastPass, you are welcome to join the 485 minute standby line if you prefer."

Totally agree with the comments above. It will Star Wars Extra Morning Magic before park opening, premium price and then pay extra fastpasses. Suckers like me will pay

I think they will probably have EMH every morning for the foreseeable future to make it very difficult for anybody who isn't staying onsite to get a look in. I'm not sure that they would do paid for FP but I could certainly see there being the paid for early morning magic and after hours with prices much higher than they are now.

You can definitely see paid FP being introduced for premium rides and more Special Ticketed events. When the new hotel gets opened no doubt guests there will get 'special' priveledges. Disney is no longer aimed at the masses.

I can see Runaway Railway going into Tier 1 with the Toy Story rides when it opens (that'll take the pressure of people trying to get Slinky Dog as RR will become the hot ticket item).

When Star Wars opens I can't see anything but a 3 tier system being put in.

Tier 1
Star Wars rides

Tier 2
Runaway Railway
Toy Story Mania
Slinky

Tier 3
Everything Else

They may do something like put Fantasmic into tier 1/2, just to better distribute the fastpasses.
