Anyone done Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party?

We fancy trying this, just to avoid the crowds and fighting to hold a spot. We prefer the idea of having a seat and being able to enjoy the desserts rather than rushing over to the plaza viewing. I don't think the kids will last post fireworks.
From what I can see tables are pre-assigned- Is there a bad view?- could we be several tables back with people blocking our views or is it quiet enough we'll be fine? Don't mind standing for the actual show but don't want to be stalking a spot 30 min early.

it starts at 8, get there for 7 and it's first come, first serve so you'll get one of the better tables at the front.

Tables are no longer pre-assigned as GlenWa73 says, arrive early and you'll get a good table.

Thanks for that- looks like I'll have to get there a lot earlier than planned. Are there bad tables? Seems an expensive evening only to get no decent view.

We did the plaza view - we weren’t rushed over to the grass and you can sit down on the grass when you get there- we did it this way as the roof over the terrace can block the view of the fireworks
We did arrive early and move over to the grass as soon as we had eaten but we were able to move in and out of the grass as we needed to
I’m sure you’ll have a baldy which ever way you go it
Have fun

Hadn't thought of the roof- Confused now, part of my reasoning was I didn't want of time to waste a lot of time keeping a spot- seems no matter which way we view HAE its going to take a large chunk of time out of the evening to get a decent view.

I was concerned Plaza view would be really crowded now they have the post fireworks party as well. We'll be there in August so I imagine not a quiet time.

Tables at the front are small table. We were a party of 6. 2nd group in the queue, only option was a table in the middle - roof over hang spoiled all the fireworks for us - really not worth it. We then did the plaza view - 1 hour or so for dessert, then a relaxed great view! Perfect.

Plenty of space when we did the plaza view and it was sold out.

I think the plaza gardens will give you a better view of HEA.
We did the after fireworks dessert party on New Year’s Day.
Here’s my review.
