Mobile Tipping question

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if you have to tip if buying alcohol from a QS style location- eg dockside margaritas? I know you wouldn’t if it was just a soft drink or a snack but just wondering if it was different with alcohol? Probably a stupid question, sorry! 😂

So unless its changed, QS can't accept tips. If it is a "bar" which has a quick service option however then yes I would leave a couple of dollars but at a traditional QS I don't no

Ah I see, that’s interesting, so a place like dockside would he classed as a bar I guess? - or I guess if you get a receipt you have to sign that would be when you leave a tip

Hello!

Hi op! Jumping in on your thread. 😊
This is exactly the question I have emailed Disney moms panel!
I understand the custom for tipping for food and in a bar etc, but do you in Disney, for example, when purchasing a grey goose slushie at the stand in the France Pavilion or a cider at Typhoon Lagoon.
Do you leave the $1/$2 dollar per drink rule there?
If any one knows, that will be great otherwise I can let you know if/when the moms panel get back to me. 😊

If it's not a bar I wouldn't tip. Neither of those locations are bars imo so would not be tipping.

I may be wrong but I'm not sure if the types of QS places you're thinking of give receipts with the tip space.

We have bought drinks from pool bars before and I tip $1 a drink. I'd do the same at the likes of Dockside Margaritas, but I'd never thought about places at the water parks or in the parks before. I'm really interested to hear other's thoughts on this.

I found that when I bought a drink that was made up by a bartender, I was given a receipt with a tip line and I added a tip, it gave you the percentages of service but you could write in your own. I think I added either $2 a drink or 20% from memory. That was at HS and the resort bar.

Everywhere I ordered that was a QS place tended to have the drinks already made up (in a slushy type machine) so they just had to pull the handle to dispense. I didn’t tip on those and indeed didn’t get a receipt with a tip option.

Quick Service location CMs are paid more than restaurant and bar CMs for the very reason that they don't get tips. Therefore unless its a bar location or a sit down restaurant I wouldn't tip.

I've tried to give tips at the Fantasmic bar in HS and at a bar by ROL in AK and they said they don't accept tips. At Dockside Margaritas I was given the receipt/bill with a tip line added and I did tip here.

So, if you ordered a non-alcoholic drink (or, even, a bottle of water) from Dockside Diner would you be expected to tip for that?
