Alton Towers in July
We are attending a wedding near Alton Towers end of July. We were considering going to alton towers for a day but was wondering how busy it would be then, wait times etc? If it would be worth going or not!

I would check the times on the website as some days in July it will be closed at 4.00pm.
Early July would be quieter but school trips are often there during the week. IMO it is always worth a visit - if you have discount vouchers.

I live near Alton Towers. Don’t visit during the week in July until School holidays start as Alton Towers is packed (20,000+) with School trips. You will be lucky to get on 3 rides all day.
First couple of weeks of School holidays are usually quiet as most people are in Orlando 😀 |

Weekends generally are not too bad in July. Use a voucher to get 50% off and consider paying for a few fast passes with your savings.

We went there at the beginning of August last year and were surprised by how quiet it was, especially in comparison to Chessington and Legoland but we did spend most of our time in Cbeebies land!

We are also planning a trip at the end of July, does anyone know of any offers or coupons around at the moment?

Don't forget to go online and book a park reservation for the day you are going. Costs £1 per person.
