Rixos Sungate Kemer

We’ve are likely to book this for October half term .
We’ve been to Turkey loads of times but not for a few years and not to this area (although been to Lara beach and Alanya) and not in October
Really want a relaxing break with maybe a night out and a couple of day trips .DS will be 16.
Has anyone stayed here or Kemer ?please share you’re experiences especially for October as I’m a bit concerned about the weather.

Thanks in advance

Hi I haven't been here or to Kemer, but I have been to Lara like you in October. In 2019 it was boiling-30's every single day. I understand that Kemer is a bit cooler. If you ask on the Belek forum on TA they will be able to advise as that's where i got that info from. Because of the mountains Antalya area tends to be warmer at that time because of the lack of them.

Thanks for your reply it was the mountains that concerned me !
I might have another look .
I’ve only been to Lara in June and July and it’s way too hot for me and in general I’m not keen on the area (don’t feel it’s typically Turkish)but this holiday is different- we just want a rest so the standard of the hotels is important and they are all very good along there .Also we’ve never been to Side so that’s a possibility.
I’m so glad I asked the question now .

We have only been to Belek in the school October break, not a huge fan of Lara. Always had great weather, have stayed at the Rixos Belek which was brilliant but not the Sungate. Enjoy!

Hi can I ask how belek differs please? It would be good to know as although hotels in Lara, some are good, I find the area outside a bit too purpose built in a tacky typical tourist kind of way. Thanks 😊 Sorry to jump

Voyage Belek is a very luxurious hotel with lots to do but also lovely pools and it’s own beach if anyone is looking for a lazy holiday in the Belek area. It is a purpose built luxurious hotel, so not a traditional Turkish holiday, but for a luxury break it’s perfect

Hi, totally agree, hotels are great quality in Lara Beach but for me it could be anywhere in the world. Belek has more of a Turkish feel with the market used by the locals and the mosque etc. Just a nicer feel to the place.
