Availability just before the 7 month window

So I've been religiously checking the DVC booking tool for our October trip. I've noticed something strange I can't quite get my head around.

I've been tracking a couple of rooms that have been available for several weeks now. But literally 2 - 3 days before the 7 months mark, they are getting booked up.

They aren't being taken by a longer booking that starts within the 7 month window as the preceding nights have been booked up for ages.

So I'm curious as to what's going on. Are people with those home resorts scooping up last minute bookings, worried they need to grab something before the 7 month crowd jump in. Could it be DVC themselves removing breakage rooms before the 7 month crowd get it?

Not saying anything is suspect btw just genuinely curious as to why it appears some people with home resort advantage seem to be waiting till right up until the last few days of their 4 month headstart to grab stuff.

Nope it's not walking as the preceding nights weren't available to book.

They won�t be available to book as the walkers had them already.

I'd agree with everyone else, owners walking their bookings, to cover the 1st they could start booking from 24th sept. There was an anomaly last year, reported on US threads & a lot of questions/complaints were being made with little or no answers, including 11 month windows, but I didn't follow to it's conclusion- the guy who owns the Dis/wdwinfo (Pete Werner) has his own separate DVC site so have search on there.
