Fastpass+ - whats the story?

Please can someone just give me a status update regarding Disney fastpass+.

Is it still active? (getting the impression its not)? If not why not and will it come back?

Staying offsite in 'normal' times, at what point is fastpass+ available?

Thankyou.

There is no fastpass at the moment because of covid as the need the queue space, nobody knows when it will be reintroduced. I think the consensus is it will return as it appears to have been allowed for in new attractions.

In normal past times, it has meant that offsite guests can book three fastpasses 30 days in advance. The three fastpasses need to be booked in the same park and in all parks other than Magic Kingdom there are some rides designated as Tier 1 and you can only book one of these.

It will be back but in what form nobody knows. Lots of rumours a paid version may be coming but to be honest that’s speculation and has been speculated for years.

On site guests, under normal circumstances, is 60 days out, which was a great perk.

There is no fastpass+ system at Disney World at the moment and Disney has not said if nor when it will be back. The fastpass entrance is only being used by people using the Disability Access Service as well as Club 33 members.

I think the majority of us expect the fastpass+ system to come back in some form at some point either later this year or early next year, but we don't know when. Disney may also introduce some changes to the system if/when they do reintroduce it.

Previously, offsite guests could book their fastpasses from 12pm (noon) 30 days before each day they wanted to book.
