Question about Oceaneer Club for the little ones

Hello, am so excited to be back on the Dibb I used this forum so much for my WDW trips a decade ago but since then have mostly been doing California Disneyland so haven't been on here for a good few years (so long in fact it looks like my old account got deleted!)

Anyway... I've never done a cruise before but obviously after a year of no Disney parks am absolutely desperate for a Disney fix and delighted the Mouse are bringing the fun to us...

So here's my question: we have a 4 year old who is too old for the Small World nursery but, I worry, too young for the kids club. He's toilet trained but still needs a bit of help/chiding to go, he'd be very intimidated by 10-12 year olds running around etc, overwhelmed by such a variety of activities.

So can anyone tell me how the Oceaneers club is set up? Do the younger kids get a bit more supervision? Are they in little groups? I know it might all be different now because of Covid anyway but even any insight on how it worked in the Before Times would be helpful!

I haven’t cruised with Disney for a few years but they used to split them up into 3-7 and 8-12 as they have 2 areas, the Oceaneer Club and the Oceaneer Lab.
Hopefully they still do that at certain times.
