discovery cove never really thought about it

was looking at tickets for seaworld, busch gardens and aquatica which came in at £115

Apparently you can get a Discovery Cove Ultimate Package with Free Parking non dolphin swim for £148 in Sept with includes breakfast lunch and drinks throughout the day

discovery cove is 1 day but busch gardens, seaworld and aquatica are unlimited visits over a 14 period with free parking

for the extra £33 per person i think this is good value for money

may even see if its more viable getting a 5 day for the price of 4 day base disney ticket as we have universal AP to use

I love DC, prices were similar for us, a few quid more and you got DC and then the other parks thrown in as such.

Its an enjoyable day and with the free food and drinks the kids can just fill their faces

remember not everyone that goes will need the free parking
cost of parking at SeaWorld for a few days will cover the extra cost of going to Discovery cove.
then there's the cost of food for the day for your party .that you will save by eating 2 meals at Discovery Cove .
we normally book Discovery Cove for a relaxing day near the end of our holiday ,but go and get out tickets for SeaWorld etc in the afternoon of the first few days ,so that we can just go straight to the gate ,at the other parks

We always book the DC non dolphin swim package to get our Seaworld and Busch Garden tickets, it’s a lovely restful day in the middle of a busy holiday with lots of food and drink included. We have also done the dolphin swim package several times but not for about 10 years.

We have booked the Discovery Cove Ultimate ticket on all but our first Orlando visit and that, only because we had never heard of Discovery Cove. That is 8 visits and only 1 with a Dolphin Swim.

It is a fantastic ticket and D.C. always the highlight of our theme park visits.

On our last 5 visits, we have purchased D.C. non swims and Universal 14’s as they cost the same as a Disney 14 day ultimate. We no longer bother with Disney!

If you'll struggle fitting Bush Gardens in (as we will) we've just booked one of the ultimate tickets (so we get free parking at SeaWorld and Aquatica) and then the rest as non Dolphin swim days which included the two parks.

Yes with Universal AP and this type of ticket we may not bother with disney at all.

I thought the 14-day Seaworld, Busch, Aquatica tickets came with free parking anyway?

So there's no additional benefit with the Discovery Cove Ultimate tickets above those other tickets with regards to parking.

We only had about a week in Orlando on what was supposed to be a “cheap” week in Orlando six months after a big Disney on site blow out. We only got DC non swim with the parks and did a week in IDrive , a night near BG (I wanted to do Little Toot as I prefer my dolphins freestyle) before heading for Vero. No planning needed , just go with the flow , a different holiday to Disney which I love in many ways but we enjoyed it just as much . ...maybe more as it was so much more relaxing.
We didn’t bother hiring a car until the day before we left Orlando as we did a day trip to Mount Dora that day , we stayed on I Drive and Ubered everywhere , it was still cheaper than car hire even without factoring in parking and meant no trekking through park car parks . Plus we didn’t have to factor who could have a couple of drinks with dinner and who was driving.
We’d definitely do it again.
It’s different , definitely cheaper but not less enjoyable.

Yes, DC is good value when combined with the other parks - always check the swim ticket as that sometimes oddly works out cheaper (you don't have to do it!).

I recommended doing it not to close to the end of the holiday, as if there were inclement weather / someone was ill etc you can move it, but you may struggle if you don't have any days left.

Worth popping into DC reception early in holiday as you can change paper print out tickets for credit card size tickets for all parks - it speeds up check in too on your actualt visit (they take photos of you for the card).

Well that was the deal 3 years ago. I think we have been every year.
