If you live in South Wales easyjet have 2/3 flights a day with Easyjet to both Orly and Charles de Guelle. We are going next march with a 7.30am flight out and 10.30pm flight back so get full use of the start and end days

We always used Easyjet from Newcastle - never a problem and we pay the few £ extra to book seats / speedy boarding. I wish they still flew from up here - only Air France now.

Ah yes. But that would mean a hotel the night before and probably the night after as it is a 2 hour train journey from us.

If we went to Preston to see my MIL for a week or so, we could fly midweek from Manchester and come back there.

Living in the lakes we use manchester edinburgh glasgow(s) (and newcastle in the past).

Manchester was great for early morning flights, we used to sail through security. Parking can be annoying at T3 but not prohibitively so. Other than that we prefer easyjet and air france as they are reasonable.

Years ago we lived in Preston and blackpool used to fly to spain. We would finish work at 5pm, take the bus to blackpool and get a £50 flight to the costas with change of clothes in a small backpack, 2 days in the sun with an all nighter on the friday one night hotel on saturday (snooze on the beach of course). The flight back was late night sunday where we could still get the express bus to manchester back. Ready for work at 8am those were the days. I dont think i have the stamina to do that any more and of course hand luggage, security, passports have all changed.

We’ve flown from Manchester many times with EasyJet and never had a problem.
