Degree of normality come the summer?

cnn/2021/03/14/polit...ntv/index.html

Asked whether people will return to a degree of normal without masks and distancing by the summer holiday, Fauci, President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser, replied: "Yes ... there will be a greater degree of confidence" in that.

What do we make of that? Will disney follow?

That’s sounds positive!
I’m hoping for no masks needed outdoors but maybe still indoors?

I still think Disney will be going above and beyond what’s legally needed until California sees that they are being ultra responsible and gets the park open there.

I can’t see anything worldwide being done to ease things for Disney until then.

This is what I’m hoping for too. I’m going to have the mindset that I’ll be wearing a mask all the time when we go and anything less then that will be a bonus!

Although Disney parks are very different to walking around Florida from your car to a restaurant, for example. People are packed into small spaces, which we all know spreads Covid, and so I think they will have to be cautious relaxing mask wearing. A outbreak linked to Disney property would be detrimental to the business.

I think it would be a step forward if they just relaxed the mask wearing outside by the summer.

I think Biden, like the UK government is being cautious now due to the risk of letting the guard down too early and increasing the risk of new variants, but when a large proportion of the populations are vaccinated I agree with Yorkshire T that the USA will move quickly to reduce restrictions.

I hope so. US and the U.K. are definitely leading the way...
