Tokyo Olympics 2020 (or 2021 or not)

Well it wasn't unexpected as various rumblings from Japan indicated that foriegn visitors wouldn't be allowed for the re-arranged 2020 Olympics for which I had tickets.

Hey ho - off to sort out my refunds and eventually will remember to set my alarm to watch the TV coverage.

I was really sad to hear that they had banned overseas visitors to the Olympics. Really tough for the fans and the athletes. It will be great on the TV but not the same, will you still go to Japan afterwards when travel is allowed? It is an amazing country.

On this cancelled trip I was just going for the Olympics and I have been lucky enough to go to Japan many times and will do so again.

Such a shame, but understandable under the circumstances.
