BA Upgrade price
Hi all,
I have recently booked LGW-MCO with BA for the end of December, I have just logged into the app and have been offered an upgrade to PE for £160 each one way. Does anyone know if this price is likely to change (either up or down) as I know this is still a long way off! Also what sort of prices could I expect this to reach or what sort of price is the upgrade actually worth? If it's worth it at all! Thanks! |

Different route to you, flying lax to lhr, we’ve been quoted £360 for upgrade on inbound flight , just waiting to see if that comes down, but if not happy with the seats we have, and will pay for an extra bag which is £60
Jules

Thanks for the reply!
The big selling point for me is the 2-4-2 config in WTP, we will be travelling with our (will be) 21 month old so currently have prebooked bulkhead seats which hopefully we could also get in WTP. |

The price of these special offer upgrades (known in BA-speak as Proactive Online UpGrades, or POUGs), may go up, down, or stay the same. The offers are also limited time and may disappear, and may or may not reappear. I've seen them stay from a few days to a few months on bookings. Not hugely helpful, I know, but this is the reality.
Regarding price, only you can decide whether it represents good value to you or not, but I would say that £160 is at the lower end of the range for this upgrade. I've seen reports on here of people paying £100 extra for WTP, but not really sure if that is a POUG or just the difference between the cabins during a sale. Generally POUGs from WT>WTP on North American routes are in the range £150-250 per person each way. |

Good price.
Extra tier points. Greater luggage allowance. Better legroom. |
