For our party of 4ad and 2ch, typical direct cost from gla was £4300 at end june.

Indirect with BA, we secured it for £2390, though typical prices were closer to £2700

Coda the problem certainly for us, is the infrequency of Direct from Glasgow plus the need for a second mortgage to do so! Virgin, we could get out but not back, TC were scary price wise & even though we are leaving the house earlier we only arrive 1 hour later than the Direct flight- 2 Adults for under £1k, TC were nearly that for 1 !

Direct flight prices from Glasgow during our school holidays are so expensive. We usually do Manchester to Mco but no deals when we could book. We could only book in Dec last year once my work holidays were authorised. Direct with TC and Virgin were £700-£800 pp and we managed to get flydrive for 2a and 2c for £2400 going indirect with BA/AA.
We prefer the indirect leg to be usa stop so you can clear immigration before MCO but price and times through Gatwick won.

We are doing a similar route 1/10 to 22/10
Edin-LGW-MCO
3a + 1ch £1824 which includes prebooked seats
Even with a hotel for night before and 22 days parking it was still far cheaper than any flight we could find from Newcastle

We are doing edin- lgw- mco.
I’d like to do direct from Glasgow or Edinburgh one year but there is way too no a difference in prices. It leaves me more money to book a better hotel in Orlando.
Thanks for the my Gatwick tip. I’ve just booked the security both ways.

Same for us. BA were £1,500 cheaper for 3 of us just for Fly Drive price, We then added a weeks accommodation so saving was even more. Virgin, TC prices resemble telephone numbers so BA best option for us. We have booked 2 BA holidays to Florida this year for the cost of 1 Virgin holiday from Glasgow.

We were shocked at the price difference between Gla & Edi, after all it's the exact same GTW-MCO flight, we saved the best part of £150 & for an extra 50 mins drive I can live with that !
