Picked car up from Alamo MCO
Car hired Mid Size 4 x 4
Free upgrade to 7 seater minivan
We got 7 seater Kia Sedona. Was plenty big enough for 5 of us but abit of a squeeze on the way home with 4 extra bags after all that shopping! So 9 large bags plus 5 lots of hand luggage and 5 passengers in total.

Hi all,
Just to give an update.
Place you picked the car up from:- MCO
Catergory of car hired:-Intermediate Sports Utility A/C - Chevrolet Equinox or Similar
Make of car you got:- Kia Sorrento
Hire car company used:- Alamo
Cost:GBP360 for 14 days over Easter 2010, included extra drivers plus a tank of gas, via US Rent a Car. Note: The price was booked 6 months in advance. It subsequently was reduced by GBP50, but went back up soon after.

Boot had additional storage under a cover - I would assume if there were 7 seats the extra 2 would go here.

Booked Full size SUV with Alamo
Issued Hummer H3

We were offered an upgrade to an escalade for $29 per day which we declined.
When we went out to the garage to collect our car we were asked if we would take a Hummer H3 as there was only 3 of us so we did, nice free upgrade you would think.

However the Hummer H3 is the worst car I've ever driven in the states, bad brakes woolly suspension and very few toys to play with inside, doesn't even tell you how many MPG you are getting.(It wasn't many) I'm 5 ft 8 and had a real struggle to get into it as its so high an has no side step. My wife and daughter found it even harder to climb in as the are even smaller than me.

I'am real glad we didnt pay to upgrade to one of these.

Car Type: Corvette ZHZ (C6 but Hertz customised), 6.2L V8
Picked up from MCO
Two days rental £245 (unlimited mileage)

Completely impractical to rent as a main car, but so much fun to drive. Crazy fast acceleration, amazing engine note. Well worth the money - take the roof off and cruise through Orlando in the evening!

Sexy Sunset Picture (in Wallmart carpark!)

Interior (with roof off)

Place you picked the car up from:- MCO
Catergory of car hired:- Full size SUV
Make of car you got:- GMC 7 seat Acadia
Hire car company used:- Hertz though Expedia (glitch rate of £265 for 2 weeks)

Posted these for people who have the 'glitch rate' through expedia. Tried to fob us off with a minivan as we didnt arive until late & they said they have no Ford Explorers. Politely told him we had book a Fullsize SUV & that was what we wanted so they brough us one from the other side of the airport. Only thing was we opted to prepay fro fule & didnt notice until we got to our resort it only had a 1/4 of a tank in it! Tried to ring but after being on hold for 3/4 hour DH want to the nearest rental place at Gaylord Palms. He said they cant even get through to the airport rental & altered our booking on the computer to show we didnt get a full tank of fuel & DH paid $15 for the fuel that was in & to take it back empty.
Pleased with what we got, has all the bell & whistles, even a dvd player in the back (if we had kids & any dvd's it would be great).
Havnt got any pics with the luggage yet, wll post them when we get back, but we have 5 cases, 1 holdall & all our hang luggage & it all went in no problem.

Updated with photo of luggage - Well most of it anyway!
