prepaid credit card and Alamo car hire. (via virgin hols).

quick question.

Just got back from Florida.

My friend took a prepaid credit card, which was used to pay for car hire.

Upon return he had not filled the tank up, and had not prepaid for the fuel, so there was an additional amount to pay, however the prepaid card only has $5 left on it, yet the bill was an additional $20.

What will happen, will he be in trouble next time?

Also I paid for the full tank, and returned mine, quarter full.
If I had done the above then, it would appear that I would have only been charged for the 3/4 of a tank... there didn't seem to be a penalty for not returning the tank full, or am I missing something.

Any comments welcome.

If I was him I would top the card to required amount then call Alamo to deduct outstanding fuel payment (admin fees might be added on top though) you know what the US are like for outstanding fines!

Did you fly into MCO?
