I agree, but I for one aren't taking any chances after a 9 hour flight and am doing it by the book.

In my opinion, not worth the risk for 2 minutes of your time. I'd hate to be sent back to the queue.

So what do I do...
Personally I'd risk it and go straight to garage if you have a barcode. Most people get away with it.

Which 3rd party did you book with?

Netflights.com alamo had gone up in price when I was booking.

Now you're confusing the issue, which is it?

We've gone straight to the garage at MCO and TPA with our bar code no problem at all. Also last time was via netflights. Sometimes I've prepaid fuel and other times got the agent at the barrier to add it if the rate is good again a very simple procedure.

am I reading this right. To fully comply, one must essentially check in 3 times
1) complete your details in save time
2) complete on-line check in
3) (NEW) now you have to complete skip the counter?
then you can officially go straight to the garage?

Nothing confusing about it.

Officially (according to their website and emails I have received and direct correspondence on Facebook) you must complete savetime, online check in and skip the counter to go straight to the garage.

Most people get away with just completing savetime but it has been mentioned in other threads that some Alamo staff have picked up on this when you arrive at the garage.

All I'm saying is that there is a chance you could be sent back to the desks.

Yes.

Savetime, then online check in then skip the counter.

When you have completed skip the counter your paperwork will change to say exactly that... go straight to the garage.
