£338 including an extra drive
Booked just after Xmas.

Was the cheapest I found. Should have booked in October when I saw them for around the £280 mark. Ah well, you live and learn and I'm happy with the price we paid.

You are right. You can actually get 3 lots of Miles if you do what I do.
I have just booked a Luxury for 28 days Aug/ Sept.
Cost = £881 so 881 Miles
Alamo chuck into the pot 1000 Miles
Pay by Virgin Black Amex and get 3524 Miles (£881 cost x 4 as a Virgin product attracts more Miles)
So 5405 Miles for 1 car booking

You get the same with VH but they have to manually link your FC Number which is a pain!

How did you do this if you don't mind me asking. Looking to book an intermediate SUV tonight for July trip.

I logged into Flying Club thinking I had to book from there but I have seen a dedicated Virgin Alamo link also. Do I book via the link and enter flying club number to get 1 mile per £ spent then get 1000 miles upon return. Also miles for paying using Amex card?

Been looking at 18 days for LA Premium Car (Chrylser 300 etc) getting £430 through AutoEurope (Avis)... not sure how people are getting competitive Alamo quotes as everything I look at are £200+ for the same deals? Unless it's just LA thing?
