I'm flying TC from Stansted to Orlando August 10th and was advised by TC recently of a change of plane. Apparently according to TC it's an Airbus A330-300 (not Air Tanker) which doesn't appear on their fleet list on the website. As the TC website only shows A330-200s hopefully this is a stretched version as it has seating for 372 as opposed to the A330-200's which vary from 311 to 322 depending on the plane used. TC also told me it has seat back IFE.

Air Tanker is the company who own it and run it for the RAF or in this case Thomas Cook.

here's their website: airtanker/

The manufacture of the aircrafts in question is Airbus and its model number is A330-300.

Sorry papamouse, am I missing something here? The Air Tankers mentioned all seem to be A330-200s with nothing like the seating capacity (372) shown on the TC website seating plan. Am I right in assuming the A330-300 is a bigger plane? TC don't show it as an Air Tanker on the booking form.

I can confirm it affects flights on other days too, our Monday MAN to MCO flight has also been changed. More than a bit gutted that I'm going to have to spend over £200 to actually buy a streaming device, might as well have flown Virgin!

Have u had the message about streaming? I ask because they do use an older air tanker that has the seat back video.

If not do you own an iPhone? That's all I'm taking to stream. And I picked up a bar called the juice power station. Will charge an iPhone 6 times. Dearest Iv seen it is £30. Might be better than a spend of £200. Plus you can use it to keep your phone charged in the parks x

Its because the people you are talking to don't know! SO they tell you what they think they know, typical TC

I can confirm that we travel on Sunday 27th August come back 7th September and we had the email stating we are on a air tanker, checked the web site and we are on a plane with overhead screens. 17 year old daughter is not a happy bunny. I am not too bothered and neither is my mum we like to read.
