iPad slow to charge ? Any ideas

DH iPad is taking ages to charge about 1% an hours has checked his blue tooth is off and it auto locks after 2 minutes has anyone any ideas why it might be doing this please ? It's not the charger as it charges mine fine thanks

oh god bloody ipads

3 kids have one, wife has pro and an old mini.

they are so particular about which charger goes with each ipad

we have them all colour coded now.

I can go to the pound shop and by any old charger for my android - but ipads are such drama queens.

yes - try a different charger and dont use the cheaper one - when you plug it in it says incompatible - then you so a software update and it works.

its all deliberate by apple - still they are the best tablets

I had the same issue and it was the charger. I was using the one my husband was given got his ipod. I'd double check!

My niece's had some lint in the charging area bit. Check yours isn't dirty.
It charges fine now. 😊

How old is the iPad ? Don't want to be be bearer of bad news but mine was like that and has completely died on me now and won't charge at all. It was an old one though l. Think I'd had it 3 years

3 years not old for Ipad.
Battery can be changed at reasonable cost.

I sent my ipad air to this firm - quick mobile fix - who get great reviews - my motherboard had packed in - so I had to exchange it with Apple - it was only a couple of weeks past two years old too.

I think Apple might also do exchange - you could make genius bar appointment.
They will use a device like this to show voltage and current when charging.

Edited to add - Apple quite expensive for battery service - but much less than new ipad. Might be dirty charging port - the apple bar tried cleaning my one.
