Refillable Disney resort mugs-staying offsite

Just a bit of info for anyone planning to pay a visit to Disney hotels. You can buy refillable resort mugs at $17.99 for 14 days even if you are not staying on site. We've spent a couple of relaxing afternoons having a boat or monorail ride to some of the most beautiful resorts for a drink. It's definitely made us think about staying on site next time...

I would agree. I'm not even sure we'd get our money's worth paying for it when staying onsite! Depending where you stay it's not easy filling it and we don't really eat at the resort except occasionally. It's great getting it free but I definitely wouldn't pay for it if not staying at Disney.

No, they're for use at the resort that you're staying at only. The only time we use them is on pool days.

You can use them at any Resort now. We take them with us if we eat at a different Resort's QS restaurant.

If you are spending a few evenings at Boardwalk, visiting a few resorts perhaps then maybe you could make it worth your while, I personally wouldn't buy it if we were not ddp though we do get excellent value for it on ddp.

We found them great value. We stayed at All Star Movies the first week and Art of Animation the second. The only comment I would make is there should be more filling stations, we were in a Little Mermaid room at AOA and it was quite a walk just to get a drink!

We don't get our money's worth from them. November's stay at OKW was almost a break even in that we'd fill up our mugs and then get the bus to whichever park we were going to. But if it wasn't included in the price of the dining plan we probably wouldn't bother with them at all.
