Which Grand Floridian restaurant?

Would you recommend the GF Cafe for breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare, or vice versa, or not at all?

Ive always wanted to stay at the hotel but as I can't, and have DDP, I can at least eat there! I'm just worried that the restaurants are commented on being a bit cafeteria like.

Thanks in advance.

The Grand Floridian Café isn't "cafeteria like" at all. It's a lovely setting. We've only done dinner there and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare so can't comment on the other way round. I think dinner at GFC is probably better value on DDP than breakfast though.

Hi - we stay at the GF every time we come to Disney and love it!

We have eaten at all the restaurants there (except the ultra fine dining V&A restaurant) and can recommend the GF Café for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is smart but informal, brightly decorated, nice comfy seating not too close together and great service.

It is quite a large and spacious place, decorated Victorian style (as are the servers, dressed accordingly) and the menu is varied, though not cheap. As you are DDP then that doesn't matter, and you will have lots to choose from, including eggs any style, fresh omelettes, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, and even minute steak (from memory!), and they used to serve freshly squeezed OJ the last time we went.

Dinner is equally as nice, with a large menu. French onion soup or the prawn cocktail are delicious, and the usuals including a lovely home made burger, steak, chicken, chops and so on.

We prefer the GF Café for our tastes, but the 1900 Park Fare is as equally well decorated, but with more people squeezed in for a decent buffet meal, with lots to choose from. Of course, you get different characters who come to your tables with Mary Poppins/Alice/Pooh at breakfast, and Cinderella for dinner. Personally we prefer a sit down A La Carte in a relatively relaxed atmosphere, but the 1900 is fun, busy with lots going on. If we were to choose one of each, we would see Pooh in the morning, and GF Café for dinner!

Whatever you choose, you will enjoy - a nice atmosphere, lots of hustle and bustle going by, and of course it is a great excuse to have a look around the beautiful hotel!

Hope that helps, any more questions please ask.

We had breakfast at the Gf cafe. It was nice but I think we prefer a buffet style break which this wasn't.

Had a lovely lunch at the GF Cafe. Elegant surroundings but not at all stuffy or over-formal. Try the Grand Sandwich - absolutely gorgeous!
