Booking the dessert party...
Hey there guys, I was just wondering if any of you have ever successfully booked the fireworks dessert party as a gift for someone? I am planning on doing this as an engagement present for my niece and her partner for there upcoming trip however when I called Disney to ask if the date was available yet I was told that it's not possible to book as a third party unless I'm going to be there. Apparently my only option is to purchase a Disney gift card and book it under their names using the gift card...do any of you have any experience of this at all?
Having done the Star Wars dessert party etc on our previous trips we can only recollect being given a reference number to check in with and no proof of payment card etc was ever required so not sure how to proceed. All help greatly appreciated, thanks you

I'm guessing no then ...but can anyone who has done the dessert party recently tell me if it's still just the reference number that's required at check in? It was when we did the Star Wars party in 2016 ya see so I'm not entirely sure why I can't just book the party in my niece and her fiance's name and give them the reference number
