Sci Fi Diner

I want to make a reservation at the sci fi diner in Disney Hollywood Studios but am not staying at Disney. My disney account allows me to do this but is asking for my card details in case I have to cancel the booking. My question is, say my flight which gets in the day before is delayed significantly how much would I have to pay? Also what would constitute a reasonable amount of notice? Thanks in advance for any replies!

You have to give 24 hour notice to cancel or card will be charged. However once we were in Disney and we had an ADR booked. The weather turned and there was a dreadful storm with thunder and lightening, the kids ( and me

) were terrified of driving to the restaurant. We rang up about 2 hours before and explained and we weren't charged.

Some are 48 hrs so check the terms when you book them. It's $10 per person if you don't show. I cancelled 36 hrs before for a 48hr one ( didn't realise) and got charged $50. Lesson learnt!

I believe that as long as the ADR is cancelled by midnight the day before then you shouldn't be charged. We did this on a couple of occasions. I'm not sure which ones need to be cancelled 48 hours before but we were staying onsite so the rules may be different when staying off site?

It's $10pp for no shows.

I wouldn't worry to much about your first full day tbh. It would be a big delay to stop you going.
We cancelled ours towards the end of the holiday as we were too tired and decided something had to give so that night had to go. I just didn't realise it was 48 hrs notice and they never mentioned it when I rang and cancelled or I would have dragged us there .

It was the Minnie seasonal dine, some adrs are 48 hrs notice it's states in the bottom when you accept the booking. No different for on or off site .

Oh right we didn't book that one so obvs didn't know about that. Always worth checking the booking info for sure.

I believe Sci-Fi is the night before if you want to cancel?
