We were off site and bought them the first day we went to Disney, they linked them for us. We also got invited to go straight in to see Tinkerbell while we were at the tills paying for them. They were well worth it, as was memory maker.

Completely agree with everyone else. We brought them last time (which was our first visit). We stayed off site, but if you use the MDE app it links everything together, including fastpasses, photopass/memory maker. Would recommend getting bands!

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned it but it may work out cheaper depending on how many of you there are to pay for the cheapest one night stay in the cheapest Disney hotel. You will get 2 days free parking and the Magic bands. It's worth pricing up even if you don't actually use the room. You will also get 2 days extra magic hours

for me, they are great, onsite of off
as you leave hotel room / villa / place you stay, all hold up you arm to show you have your band on, it means you are getting in the park |

Worst case, if you can't get your bands in advance, do what we did in 2015 and buy them in the park. We went into the big Emporium in Main Street of MK... picked the bands and got the cast member to link them to our account/park tickets etc. Took 10 mins once we'd picked which colour/pattern of band to go for.

We're also staying offsite and will be visiting Magic Kingdom on our first day, is there anywhere we can buy the magic bands from before the park opens? We're flying into Tampa so will not be able to purchase them from the airport.
Sorry I've just seen the above post! Edited at 11:21 AM. |
