3 seats prem econ or 4 seats economy

would you book as above on virgin with a 4 year old and a 10 month old not sure if the 4 seats and taking a car seat for the 10 month old to sit in is worth it... if the seat belt sign is on i think they still have to sit on your lap, but is 3 seats in prem enough space on a 9 hour flight. never been premium economy before we always go indirect so not sure about the extra space

I could be wrong on this but I do not think the arm rest lift up in PE, when our grow-up children were younger they liked to lie across us so they could sleep and both like being in the middle then they could play so for me it would have to be economy seat with the arm rest up. Everyone is different but I know my 2 would not have settled in the seat with the armrest down hope someone will be able help you little more as its been long time since they were young.

You are correct they don't lift up so if you want the two little ones to stretch out then economy may be better.

I would go economy. Think it'd be more comfortable having a seat each than 3 slightly larger to share.
