There's a rumour that Splash will be down end of August

Yeah it does seem to come from a reliable source, does seem to be a long re-refurb. I've been reading other posts/threads over on WDW site & it seems that there are going to be many more things going on in the parks over the next few years too.
There's also mention of Mission Space having a refurb soon. 😬

Oh dear, Splash is one of hubby's fav rides I'm not bothered either way. We leave on 13th Nov so looks like he'll miss it unless it re-opens a bit early...

That's a bummer as it became one of our favourites last year. May be able to squeeze in one ride but hadn't intended going to MK until 29th! Oh well at least Big Thunder and Dinosaur should be open this year as we missed both of those last year.

We were at Disneyland in 2015 and Pirates was closed for refurb. One of my favourites, different from WDW too, and therefore rather sad but what can you do?!? Anyway one night, I think it might have been a Halloween party night we walked passed the entrance as you do, and saw crowds of people flooding in. They'd only gone and opened it on our last night

We had BTM closed last year also. The dates for Splash are after our holiday this year as long as it doesnt change! Sorry for all those who will miss out though, its a great ride.

We missed out on POTC in 2015 so glad to have escaped this one. Always disappointing when a real fave is taken out of circulation. Especially feel for the parents who have to cope with devastated kids.

Rumour over on the other boards seems to be another headliner could be down once Splash has had its refurb. Sounds like they have big plans for the parks! 😳

Will be keeping an eye on this. We've already had two trips where Splash has been down so if the dates are right, and it stays on schedule, it'll re-open during our Nov trip. Three times would just be terribly unlucky!

Hope the next one down isn't the Haunted Mansion as that's my husband's fave and the trip this year is for his 40th.

My heart sank when I read this news
This will be our last trip for a long time and Splash Mountain is a family favourite, it just makes me happy. Taking my sister this year for her first visit and was looking forward to taking her on. Out of all the rides, I'm gutted its Splash that's down when we go.
