London is 34 miles from Luton down the M1. They use the term "London Luton" very loosely. Much like the Watford Gap is nowhere near Watford!
Thankfully there are coaches and trains into the city as mentioned above.

Yes but only a 40 minute train and you don’t just have to go to st pancras there are other stops depending where you are staying. Blackfriars or farringdon for example.

We fly through 2-3 times a year on HBO fares.

Ensure you have all you need or they will charge you for anything & everything, e.g., no plastic bag for your liquids? Unlike the free bags at LHR & LGW, you have to pay for them at Luton etc.
Haha wow! I'll make sure I have my plastic security bag ready :P - thanks!

Oh perfect! I'm staying at the farringdon Travelodge so maybe that stop will be closer to where I wanna go - thanks!

The plastic bags are free now, though they do charge for pretty much everything else.

Travelodge Farringdon is more or less halfway between St Pancras and Farringdon stations. Farringdon is a few minutes further on the train, but the walk from there is a bit simpler than getting out of St Pancras and across the roads outside Kings Cross station.

Overall, Luton airport is improving slowly, but can still be quite crowded in the departures area. On arrival, after exiting the baggage hall you will be funnelled through an area where you can buy tickets for the various transport options, including the Thameslink trains to St Pancras and Farringdon.

Just noticed this! Thank you for your reply.
I'll be needing to get to the Travelodge as speedy as possible(at a reasonable price!) so I think the Farringdon station may be better all round.
Thank you for your help

I can't tell you much about the airport, but I live around 10 minutes from it so use the Luton / Luton Airport Parkway stations quite regularly.

Plenty of trains - main hub is ST Panc, but there are a variety of stops, takes around 30-35 mins from parkway. You will need to grab a shuttle bus between the station and the airport, straight forward cost a couple of quid I think.

But yeah, really easy to get into central london
