Has anyone been to Bermuda?
For as long as I can remember, over 60 years anyway, I have wanted to go to Bermuda. Has anyone been and how did you travel? Was there much to do and is it expensive?

I can’t give you a huge amount of info as we only stopped there on a cruise but it is absolutely gorgeous! Paradise! Eating out is expensive so we waited until we got back on the ship but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for a full holiday there.

I haven’t but I’d like to take my Dad next year. He’s always wanted to go as my grandfather worked there for a couple of years after the war.
My company has its offshore office there and i do some work with them only over email and Skype though. Summer is a good time to go avoiding hurricane season although they’ve been pretty lucky in recent years. Everyone who goes with work loves it and we’ve had lots of people transfer. I don’t think there is much to do though. |

I lived there as a child - in the 1970's, left when I was 12. Very lucky that my dad was the island's government archivist.
It's an amazing island! The beaches are amazing - I've never found a beach as beautiful as a Bermuda beach. Obviously living there is different to holidaying but we did have brunch nearly every Sunday in the hotels - fabulous! The island really does have an American/English influence - luckily only the best bits. I did plan to return this summer but we've decided to wait and possibly go in a couple of years when my eldest is a little older. Here's a website to perhaps look at bermuda-attractions it's quite basic but I've found it to be informative.
