Yes that's right Loftus, it was the girl in the booth. My name wasn't on the board either but my fathers was.

I booked with affordable car hire. Linked the booking to my preferred account. I had a voucher stating all I had booked, rate code used etc. I went through it all on the night I arrived with the girl at the booth in the garage but she still charged us extras on top.

To be fair, my experience of dealing with the girl in the booth was fine. She seemed surprised I wanted to pre-pay for fuel but it was all processed quickly and I was in the car and away in 20 minutes, and most of that was me working out how everything worked!
No attempt to sell me anything other than what I asked for.

This is the first time I've actually had any problems with car hire thankfully. Normally everything goes smoothly. This was our first time with Avis so I'm a bit disappointed since a lot of people talk quite highly of them :-)
