ESTA emergency

Completed ESTA for my grandparents few weeks back all was accepted I remember that part. I know you don't need a printout of it but my grandfather is insisting he does have it to hand. We've never taken ours I explained. Anyway we've tried searching for it through his emails but can't find any record of email confirmation. Now we can't check the status as we don't Know the number. What do we do? Assume it's all ok and head to the airport on Wednesday or re-apply just incase? We've done the API that was accepted now would this be allowed to be done with or without a valid ESTA?

Dont panic, go to the following site (its the official ESTA one)

esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/applic...execution=e1s1

Scroll to the bottom and select I do not know my application number. Enter the details and it will find your application you can then print it for peace of mind.

You do not need printed copies and I have never been asked for them.

They don't send emails anymore.

Go on the esta site and retrieve existing application. At the bottom click I don't know application number and you can find it with passport number and name.

We HAVE been asked a couple of times for sight of printed copies and so these form part of our holiday documents folder just in case. Good luck tracking down the application numbers

I have been asked in the past too. Told the check in person how to check for herself as officially I didn't need to have a copy . She didn't check but let us thro

When I get to the desk tomorrow they better not ask as I don't have copies again.
