Pre Booking Virgin seats

Hi everyone

Appreciate this may have been asked before. I've just booked a fly drive with Virgin, flying on 21/08/18. I've worked it out that I can pre book my seats on 24/09/17 which is 331 days before I fly. I have been told by an online chat person that I wont get a Flight Locator no. until 331 days before?

Is this right?

I can recall the last couple of times I have gone I was sat waiting at my computer at 7am to book seats at the 331 day mark (having got the locator no. prior to this) I more than likely wont be able to do this if I get the F. Locator no. on the 331 day mark.

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Yeah, flights aren't confirmed until 11 months prior so you won't get a airline reference until then
