Brit Guide 2018

Hi there folks. It looks like several (?!) of you have already been experiencing what we've been dealing with behind the scenes, but the good news is that stocks have finally found their way to the main suppliers and it is now available through all the main bookshops.

As fefifoe indicated, we have had a huge problem with the printing of this issue. Without wishing to bore you, the book is printed in Malta, but their paper supplier is in Italy and, as some people may know, Italy experienced a number of strikes in August that effectively halted all paper production for almost 6 weeks. Our printer has therefore been playing catch-up ever since, and the knock-on effect meant that we lost our printing slot and it was pushed back to the end of November.

Happily they have finally caught up and things are now back on track, albeit 6 weeks later than we normally are with each edition. All advance orders should now be fulfilled and it is safe to add new orders, which should certainly be in time for Christmas.

We hope everyone enjoys the new issue and we look forward to seeing lots of you here in 2018

PS: We are now going to sit in a dark room for a few weeks to try to re-grow our fingernails!

Ordered 11th November. Delivery now says delivery is 8th - 9th Dec.Had a few delivery date changes in-between .

As far as we know, cover price is 15.99, but Amazon usually knock a few quid off at this time of year. Both Waterstones and WH Smith should also have them in stock if you have one of those nearby and don't want to wait!

Wondered if worth ordering one. We last went in 2015 and I had one for that year and then gave it to my sister for her visit. Obviously lots has changed but with all the info and more on here not sure whether would actually learn anything new from it? Although I do love a new guide book

On another note has anyone ever read the Unofficial Guides, specifically the Universal ones? Thinking of asking for the 2018 one as a present for Christmas.

I got one in 2010 and then again in 2015 and it was helpful, enough had changed and even then t was nice to have something to browse on the fly. Planning on getting the 2018 one as despite everything you can find online I still prefer having a book and I honestly find these the best travel books I've ever invested in!
