Mobile One week to go!

I must admit I've a bit of anxiety before this holiday. With a relative in hospital I'm a bit cautious with my excitement but all being well we'll get away a week today.

Not loving seeing the current weather situation so have everything crossed it eases up before we get there too!

Clothes are in the case, FPs booked and a rough plan for each day. We are 4 adults staying on I drive, 14 day tickets for Disney and universal.

So as first timers does anyone have any tips of what they have learnt the hard way or wish they knew on their first trip? Any handy tips of things to bring with us? Any gems to eat at (on I drive or more qs in the parks)?

Getting to the park at rope drop gives you a chance to do a few popular rides ahead of the queues
Soak up the atmosphere and the details. Some of the best memories I have of our 1st visit were things we bumped into. Green army men in Hollywood Studios doing their thing had me giggling like a teenager.

Have a brill time. 😁

If you get tired then take a break.
We went as two adults and I got tired on a couple of days (we were there for 14) and we didn't stop for a break. It made the day for me a little less enjoyable.

Most of all have fun!

We are all different but we like to get to the parks early and when it starts getting really busy lunchtime onwards, come away for a rest and a swim and then may go back in the eve for the shows and particularly the fireworks.

Same as you OP, hope the weather picks up.

Have a couple of rest days if you think you need them and be flexible with any plans you have made.

As others have said, get to the parks early and beat the crowds, you'll be up ridiculously early the first few days, so may as well take advantage.

Portion sizes can be (are) huge! don't be afraid to ask for 1 plate and 2 forks It's often the only way DW and I can manage a desert (and you don't want to skip pudding! )

Enjoy your holiday
