Great info thanks.
Regarding the £20 three sim do you just buy it at a three store and it's simply plug and play. Do you have to activate it in the uk. Thanks again

You can go to a three store and ask them to set you up or you can buy a sim from Tesco or a shop and set it up yourself.

You need to add credit to the SIM first and then buy the Add On to the credit to trigger the Feel At Home... the total cost depends on what price credit you buy and what price Add On. Historically I got a £10 credit and the £25 add on which provided the unlimted data (although it’s not it is actually 12GB)

I’d recommend setting up a day or so before you leave but set up an online account in order to remove your roaming bars and add your details in case you need to do anything while away.

Im presuming you're not on a EE MAX plan then?
EE update as you correctly pointed out the £10 upgrade does have a minimum 6 month term which means the information I got on upgrading the other day was utterly useless, just when I thought EE were getting better. Outcome is they will move me on to MAX plan next month just before we go for less than £5 per month extra and I will remove it after second trip in October. Hope this helps.

What a shame you got the wrong message. Good job you checked. To be fair to their staff, they have to know so much and it depends on what training they were given...it may have slipped their mind

Or they were trying a cheeky one to get more commission/a reward

At least you got it sorted. Hope it’s good for you

.
So, you effectively spent £15 more than needed?

A £20 top-up, converted to a £20 add-on is sufficient. 3000 minutes, 3000 Texts and 12GB DATA. Any other credit would be required if you planned to call a USA number.

We are looking into buying 2 x 15 or £20 sim card from three. We have 2 spare phones to take with us (party of 9) so just to double check, I order this online and three send you the sim and you just activate before you go? Both phones are unlocked btw

I went into the 3 shop and bought a SIM for £10 which only lasts a month, so I activated it a week before we went on holiday and that worked for the 17 days we were there with no extra charges.

Have just moved to BT mobile and heading out to Orlando in October. Had a quick look on website but my options for using BT Mobile in Florida are not very clear. Has anybody any experience of BT Mobile?

You can do that or buy the PAYG sim from pretty much any grocery store (Spar, Tesco etc) for 99p

For anyone else reading this... Three are continuing to confuse their proposition for roaming:

three/Store/SIM/Pay_As_You_Go

So the £15 add on states it has Feel at Home Around the World, yet the £20 add on calls it Go Roam and has a * that states it can be used in their Roaming countries that are all applicable in Feel at Home

Honestly, it worries me how mixed the messages are from Three
