My last trip to America was over 20 years ago and my funds won't stretch to another trip for another few years after WDW so booking far in advance is fine for me.

I always apply for mine before I pay out any money. I don't want to be "hoping" that there won't be a problem.

I was renewing mine and DH for this year, and while I was on I renewed DD as she's coming with us next year - its done and out of the way.
