I do both but if I had to choose... Return for the luggage allowance (not that I've ever checked two cases - but many do) and the comfortable seat. The excitement of going TO Orlando is enough to tolerate an economy seat. Need a bit more help on the way back.

Outbound for us. For some reason we don’t feel as tired when we go PE.

We would always upgrade the return over the outbound. We’re excited when going out so economy doesn’t bother us as much but coming back PE or UC makes the return much more bearable. Plus we sleep better and have a larger baggage allowance.

Excited about Disney

If I had to pick just one leg (imagine the indignity of such a choice) I would choose outbound. As it’s all more exciting and a great way of kicking off the holiday. Having a drink in the lounge and kicking things off that way, and then carrying on when you board the plane.
I do both legs though, but the return leg is all about (trying to) sleep.

I would pick on the way home especially as that's normally a night flight and more room to sleep

Thats exactly what my husband just said about being to excited on the way out. Think we are going to try for the return flight and see what happens.

Outbound to Florida, we are doing PE when coming back from Bangkok but have chosen it for the return flight as the outgoing flight is at night where I am hoping we can sleep. I want to enjoy it on the return flight.

We have never upgraded but if we did it would have to be the return flight just for the chance of some sleep. One day ...

I don’t think PE would make much difference to my ability to sleep versus economy so I wouldn’t bother about upgrading for the return night time flight. I would upgrade on the way out as it is a longer flight and to get holiday off to a nice start.
