Is this a good price (premium economy upgrade)

Hi all,

Asked Virgin about an upgrade of our seats and have been offered a premium economy upgrade, both ways for £296 total for the two of us. So basically £75 each, each way!

We are currently in the bubble so I’m not sure what to do, that sounds a bargain but wondered your opinions!

Cheers

So less than £75 per person for each flight? I'd say that was a bargain!

Complete bargain! I wouldn't hesitate. It would be worth it for the extra space to try to sleep on the way home.

That is a really good price, did you check what the price is on their website is? Can't be as cheap as that online surely. Our upgrade price online is about £900 each both ways!

I think that’s a great price but just out of interest how much were your economy flights? Upgrade prices vary so much because they are based on what you have paid originally.

You know I’m honestly not sure, we booked a package to stay at AKL (now Yacht Club cos of the construction) that package was over £5k inc dining plan.

I’ve grabbed the seats, but that’s a really good point to make

Great price, i think pretty much the best anyone will ever get.
I'm guessing you paid for your seats in the bubble? You will get that refunded if you upgrade, and its free to pick PE seats, makes it even more of a bargain!

Yeah we paid to pick the seats, I’ll have to chase her up on that as well, I can’t get in touch with the other half, but have made an ‘executive’ decision shall we say and grabbed them, can’t see it going down badly

Cheers
