Have I paid too much?

Hi all,

I have not been to Diney for 10 years and now we are going with 3 teenagers!

We only booked yesterday after lots of procrastinating and of course the flights were massively expensive. I feel a bit sick about how much it has cost

I spent hours and hours researching and was going to do everything separately but then the flights suddenly went up a LOT in price and a package worked out the cheapest. We are flying with Virgin and have everything apart from accommodation - once we have added the villa it will have cost us £10.5k before food! (The flights were half of that cost) We are planning to have breakfast at home and take packed lunches with us. We will probably eat out occasionally.

I suppose I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance that I haven't been totally foolish!

What time of year are you going? For the amount of people traveling and direct flight it sounds about right. It’s booked now just try and enjoy all the planning. It will be worth it all. X

I think £5k for flights for five people in August is quite normal. Theme park tickets wont be cheap for five either, so depending what you have got it all seems about right. On average £2k per person, definitely less than we pay out per person as only two of us.

I'd agree with this, for the summer about 2K each is pretty normal

I would say for direct flights with virgin in August then £800-1000pp is about right.

We're going on 16th August and have paid £2700 for flights & car with BA but we're flying to Miami instead (we've done the route before) as it's always so much cheaper (2 adults & 2 kids 10 & 12)

But if you want to fly direct to Orlando then it will be a bit more esp in August!

You've booked it now! Enjoy doing some planning, it's never a cheap holiday, but it is an amazing one!

I would stay that is on the high side - but the prices are what they are at the time of booking.

We are flying into MCO and out of Tampa this year as a lot cheaper.

I was looking at our costs last night and for the 4 of us flying direct from MAn to MCO, staying off site (villa split with another family) with WDW, DC x2 and SeaWorld its coming in around £8k and we are going in July!

So no, for August I think you are ok, we had a bit of a shock after 4 years at the price of everything
