Patrick Melrose - Sky Atlantic

Anyone else seen this? I really loved it in a strange sort of way, it really shows what a fantastic actor Benedict Cumberbatch is. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I watched it tonight. Thought it was really good, a real mix of blackly comic but emotional.

Did anyone else stick with it? Very different, but I enjoyed it.

I loved it although it was very upsetting in places.

I read the first book in anticipation of the series and absolutely hated it. Watched the show and hated it even more! A bunch of very wealthy people without a care in the world, doing their best to ruin one another’s lives because they’re bored, narcissistic, and drunk or on drugs most of the time. I found it disgusting to be honest.

I watched the whole thing, but only because I’m signed off work after surgery! It made me so angry that it took my mind off my itchy stitches for a while

Big fan of Benedict, so recorded this on Sky. Watched around 30 mins of first episode deleted the rest of the series. Couldn't get into it at all.

I absolutely LOVED this show! Fantastic acting from all, esp cumberbatch. Definitely character driven rather than plot driven. I found it really moving and just adored it!
