I always thought the Charles Diana stuff was exaggerated by the press at time. It came as a bit of a shock that the truth was so much worse.

I think it depends on where you are getting your “truth” from! I do think The Crown played on that exaggeration too. And who knows if Diana was telling the whole truth in THAT interview!

We finished the series today; all getting a little OTT; extreme dramatic licence taken with conversations that may or may not have happened & no-one except those involved will know what was said (& doubt they’ll admit the contents); almost veering into Dallas like viewing!

We’ve got 2 episodes to go, I have mixed feelings. I really don’t like Gillian Anderson as Thatcher. It feels a very forced portrayal.

HBC is great as Margaret, I’m less keen on Olivia C as the queen. I think I am too familiar with her as an actress so I find it hard to see past the actress.

I don’t see how we can have two more series, I feel it’s getting too close too modern days and there must come a point where it’s just not appropriate to portray such recent history.
