Mobile $200 gift card

Hi

Does anyone know what you need to take with you to World of Disney to collect your gift card? Or is all the info loaded on to your magic band?

Thanks

Disney want people to spend money. By having to pick up the gift card at Disney Springs they're hoping people will buy stuff in the shops, eat at the restaurants etc.

Answer me this...

If you can spend $1,000 on gifts, zap the terminal at checkout with your MB, enter your pin and that gets charged to yr CC... if all your personal info is on the MB including name, resort and length of stay...

Why o why do we need to take photographic ID for something worth $800 less?

If any one can answer this, i will eat my ears.

If they didn't ask for ID to pick up your gift card, then anyone finding your voucher could just walk into the World of Disney, hand over the voucher and get the gift card, and then spend it with no restrictions. Hence why they ask for photo ID.

If you lost your MagicBand, in order to spend $1000 using your MagicBand someone would have to know your PIN (no different to how credit cards work). And in order to use your MagicBand to charge money to your room account, you have to give your consent and have given all your details to Disney - including a valid credit card. And if you lose your MagicBand, you can go online and immediately disable it - you can't do that with the voucher or gift card.

There is no personal information stored on the MagicBand.
